The lacrosse season is relatively short but requires volunteers to assist with season planning and tournament planning up until the end of the season equipment return. Upon registration, you agreed to fulfill ONE volunteer duty/shift or you chose to buy out your commitment for $200, which counts as your duty.
Confirmation of registered players and completed volunteer commitments will be monitored throughout the season. At team formation, managers will be collecting volunteer deposit cheques of $200 to Beaumont Raiders Lacrosse Association, post dated for July 1, 2025. If your volunteer commitment is not completed during the season, and you have not reached out to our coordinator your deposit cheque will be cashed.
If choosing to 'buy out' your association volunteer commitment, please forward a $200 EMT to treasurer@beaumontraiders.com and include your player's name, division and that payment is for volunteer commitment buy out. Please be aware that this 'buy out' does NOT exempt you from essential team responsibilities such as box duties, jersey parent or what ever your team requires.
The following positions within the organization constitute fulfillment of the required volunteer commitment:
Head Coach
Assistant Coach (Limit 2 per team)
Manager

There are many different opportunities for members to fulfill their commitment throughout the season. Some examples are: Evaluations/Tryouts, Casinos, Bingos, Apparel Sales, Come Try Lacrosse Events, and lots of opportunities during our Mothers-Day Tournament. Duties will be updated on the sign-up link throughout the season.
If you choose, you can buy out your volunteer commitment for $200 at registration, which counts as your duty but does not exclude you from team duties such as score-keeping or Raiders club fundraisers. Each team requires several volunteers to support roles within the team to ensure the success and fairness of team roles and responsibilities.
Please keep in mind we also offer registration discounts to volunteers who complete a Bingo or Casino shift. If you have completed a shift and have a credit balance to use towards your 2024 registration, please email our volunteer coordinator and our treasurer directly to arrange for your discount code.
Unfortunately, volunteer "no-shows" have happened in previous years. To ensure successful planning and preparation, your deposit cheque will be cashed following any missed shift or duty.
